Install Section Control

Find Section Control on the Shopify App Store and hit Install. The free plan covers two scheduled sections, and there's no card, no trial timer, nothing to cancel.

Flip one toggle in your theme

Sections can't schedule themselves until your theme lets the app in. On the app's dashboard, click Enable embed. Shopify opens your theme editor with the Section Control toggle already switched on. All you do is press Save.

Pick a template, set your dates

Don't build from scratch. Open Templates, pick Weekend Sale, and the whole rule arrives pre-filled. You change three things at most: which section, which dates, which page. Then Save.

Watch your store do the work

That's setup finished. When the start time hits, the section appears on your storefront by itself. When the end time passes, it leaves. No midnight logins, and nobody touches your theme.

Make it repeat every weekend

Running the same promo every Friday to Sunday? Tick Repeat on a schedule, tap the days, set the hours. The rule re-arms itself every week until you tell it to stop. Recurring schedules are part of Pro, $7.99 a month with a 7-day trial.

Three things people ask

I saved a rule and my storefront didn't change.: Two usual causes: the theme embed toggle from Step 2 isn't saved, or you checked within the first minute. The storefront updates within about 60 seconds of a rule kicking in.
Will it slow my store down?: No. One tiny script decides show-or-hide and gets out of the way. There's no app code in your theme files, and uninstalling leaves nothing behind.
What does free actually cover?: Two active rules, both show and hide, on any single page type. Unlimited rules, recurring schedules, and site-wide scope are Pro.
